HISTORY AND ABOUT THE NAME OF ESTATE

Villa Plano is one of three house on estate of the „Kaputinovi dvori“. Every of this house has built in different time through last two century, so each of them is a part of historical tradition of construction and using of specific building materials of those time.

The name “Kaputinovi dvori” comes from one of our ancestor, whose nickname was Kaputin. Kaputin is old Croatian word for specific heavy coat which he was wearing during winter time. Our ancestors have settled in this area more than 120 years ago when they discovered the beauty and the magic of landscapes around them. Traditional jobs for our area were work in agriculture, processing of stone, fishing, growing olive trees and production of olive oil and wine, making cheese, prosciutto … Old Dalmatian houses were built from stone and vineyards and olive trees were surrounded with typical fences called ‘suhozidi’ which are also made from Dalmatian stones. The most famous stones are from Seget, Plano and island’s Brač which was even used for Withe House in America.

The tradition of producing olive oil and wine, and making prosciutto is old more than century and it is transferring from generation to generation even nowadays.

In its modern decorated interior there are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, fitness, balconies, terrace with pool, garden with home-made, organic vegetables and parking places for two to three cars. The villa has floor heating, fireplace and is fully air-conditioned and offers you comfort in and out of summer season.
Kitchen, dining and living room, one bathroom and one bed room are situated on the ground floor while other three bedrooms, two more bathrooms, laundry and fitness room are situated on the first floor. Kitchen has nice view on the garden with organic vegetables and fruits and it is well equipped with modern devices: fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, hood, stove, coffee maker, blender, kettle, toaster. Dining room has big dining table perfect for enjoying in traditional Dalmatian food and wine. Dining room is also connected with large terrace, so you can chose to have meal inside or outside the house. The terrace has an outside dining area with charcoal barbecue and a lounge at your disposal. Living room is equipped with modern furniture, big LCD TV, DVD, fireplace and nice view on pool, sunshine terrace and olive treas. There are two bedrooms with double bed and one of them is connected directly with it’s own bathroom.

The outside area includes a fragrant garden with organic vegetables and fruits, lots of sunshine terraces and balconies, children playground, parking places, bicycles for guests and big terrace with swimming pool placed inside garden with olive threes where you can relax and enjoy the sun, bird’s songs and Mediterranean charm in complete privacy.
